This With The Beatles LP is from the collection of Norman 'Hurricane' Smith. Norman Smith began working at Abbey Road Studio’s in 1959 as an apprentice for EMI. George Martin used him for The Beatles Recording Sessions, including their very first ever EMI Recording stint, and he continued as their Recording Engineer right through to the Rubber Soul sessions in December 1965.

Album Description/Condition:

First released on the 22nd November1963, this is the first pressing **MONO** factory sample version of The Beatles second UK Album release With The Beatles, on the BLACK and YELLOW Parlophone label.

Both record labels have the ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Made in Gt Britain’ label text, recording first published 1963 to both record labels.

This album is the very 1st Pressing, with the **JOBETE** publishing credit for the song Money, additionally the song You Really Got a Hold on Me is printed as You Really **Gotta** Hold on Me.

Both record label are in superb Excellent Plus condition, very clean labels with no fading to the yellow and silver printed text, showing only a few light centre spindle lines, and the official factory sample sticker on the side 1 record label.

The side 1 matrix is: XEX 447-1N and side 2: XEX 448-1N.
Side 1 stampers: 1 MT and side 2: 1 GA

There is an embossed *MKT* Tax code visible on the side one record label.

Side one of the heavy quality vinyl disc is in superb Near Mint condition, beautiful glossy undamaged vinyl surface with no hairlines visible.

Side two of the heavy quality vinyl disc is in superb Excellent Plus condition, glossy undamaged vinyl surface with just a couple of surface hairline scratches visible.

Audio Quality:

The album plays superb throughout the tracks, a beautiful powerful clear early mono sound quality, with no skips or clicks.

The LP comes in a ‘Use Emitex’ lined Inner bag which is in Excellent condition, NO seam splits or handwriting, just some mild creasing.

…And is protected in it’s ORIGINAL Laminated Garrod &Lofthouse Patents Pending three flip back sleeve, with large 'mono’ printed to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve.

The sleeve is in superb Excellent condition, it is firm and strong with a very glossy front panel showing the mildest of record indentation, all edges and corners are undamaged, the reverse panel of the sleeve is very clean with the mildest of handling signs at the opening edge, all three flipbacks are undamaged, and the spine edge wording is clearly legible.

A superb example of this second UK Beatles factory sample Album in mono format, an original first issue from 1963.
