This is an original copy of the White Album from 1968 and is Mono, Top Loading and with a very low numbered sleeve, being 0064034 and with the correct 'no mono' on the reverse of the laminated sleeve! The only marking in any reverse of any
White Album sleeve was when 'Stereo' was printed, 'Mono' was just assumed to be the norm, hence no marking!
The sleeve itself is the Garrod & Lofthouse, fully laminated top opening sleeve of the First Presses and structurally is sound, but with spine wear, as can be seen in the photo, which tends to be normal with played White Albums. It has some creases here and there and slight indentations, which, again, with these laminates and being 47 years old, tends to be the case. It is a rare sleeve, as it is a low number and all working fine!
The records are really only ''G'' to ''VG'' which means that there are some marks, scratches, scuffs and paper rubs, and there is some playing crackle, clicks etc, but they are still, label wise, in a presentable condition and the general lustre and heavy weight of the vinyl is still obvious and they are collectable as they are without the later EMI on the left hand side,
with just ''Mfd. in U. K.'' beneath 33 1/3.
Being First Press, this also has,
''Sold in the U. K. subject to resale price conditions, see price lists''
across each label, above THE BEATLES, which again shows it is early and First Press.
Its Mothers & Stampers are: Side One, Mother '3', Stamper 'HA', being '52'. Side Two, Mother '5', Stamper 'TM', being '94'. Side Three, Mother, '1', Stamper 'RO', being '25'. Side Four, Mother '3', Stamper 'RD', being '20'.
This does not have the black inner sleeves, but two plain white, dye cut inner sleeves and there are no photos or poster, either.
So, an original LP, with a LOW numbered sleeve, with records that would really be a filler until, perhaps, a better set came along, to then add to the sleeve and maybe add poster, photos and black inners, then a fab, low numbered White Album!
