The Beatles White Album 2xLP Numbered Mono UK Top Loader W/Poster VG/VG.
Original issue from 1968 of the classic experimental double LP by the Beatles. Numbered copy #0177869
EMI text now corrected and on the labels. Matrix endings are -1,-1,-1,-1
Comes with original poster but unfortunately the photos are missing.
The vinyl grades VG overall. It has lots of fine hairline scuffs and marks when viewed under strong light and and a couple of light scratches too. It plays through pretty well with some light background crackle heard in the spaces between tracks and some of the quieter sections. Most of the audio is pretty loud and clear although a small scratch on side 3 near the start of “Mother Natures Son” causes some crackle and a few soft clicks. There’s nothing that really over powers the music however. Sides 1, 2 and 4 probably plays closer to VG+ with side 3 playing VG. There are no loud pops, and no sticks or jumps. I personally still found this a very enjoyable listen, and whilst not perfect is still very playable.
The sleeve has some age related discolouration, small laminate crinkles and ring wear showing on front and the rear. It’s not actually as bad as it looks in the photos, in real life. Not perfect either. A small name inside the gatefold has been “rubbed out” too. No nasty tears or major damage but showing it’s age a little. VG
The original inners are included and intact, although a little crease and dog eared. I will include 2x new black poly lined inners too! VG
The poster is VG to VG+. Some small age related foxing patches but it’s intact with no big tears or splits.
Overall this is still a very enjoyable and collectible original pressing that plays well, but not perfectly.
