We are pleased to offer one of the most unique LPs that comes from our personal collection.  We have up for auction the first world-wide pressing of The Beatles: "Italian" White Album "Top Opener" Stereo on Apple PCS 7067.  The Italian White Album aka "The Beatles" has the distinction of being the First Release of this title on 11/14/68.  This date is stamped in the matrices of the two LPs.

The Beatles "White Album" was released in the United States on 11/25/1968 and in the UK on 11/22/1968.  We are offering the First World-wide Release and Pressing of this epic work by the band!  Please bear in mind that we are extremely conservative graders of albums and are very tempted to call this a NM- piece.  We basically are grading it VG++ all around!

Our LP is an Italian Pressing of The Beatles and, as previously mentioned, is a top-opener, meaning the LPs are accessed from the top rather than the sides.  The distinctive # which is embossed on the jacket is No 0295016.  All original copies of the White Album were sequentially numbered.  What is notable about this White Album is that it possesses the UK numerals e.g. PCS 7067 and were shipped in German-Made top-loading covers.  The labels say only STEREO instead of STEREO-MONO on them.  This makes our pressing one of the earliest batch of Italian White Albums.

The two discs are absolutely spectacular in appearance, showing full gloss and sheen.  Judging from the play-grade of VG++ as well as the visual grade of VG++, this LP could not have been played more than 6 times, including today's play-test.  The LP's labels are free of spindle wear, the vinyl has only a few wispy "hairlines" which are more a product of them being taken in and out of their original Black Inner Sleeves than being played.  In short, this is a brilliantly conditioned two disc vintage collectable which most record collectors would assign a NM grade to, without any reservation.

The matrices are probably the most fascinating element of this set.  Side 1:  YEX-709-T2-14/11/68  Side 2:  YEX-710-T2-14/11/68  Side 3:  YEX-711-14/11/69  Side 4:  YEX-712-14/11/68   The obvious pattern is the repetition of the release date of the LP.

The Apple Labels are simply glossy, clear, and have no signs at all of spindle wear.  They grade NM-.   

The White Album Jacket is best described by the photos we took of it.  It is one of the whitest, cleanest jackets I have ever seen on any White album and I have more than enough in my collection to know that this jacket is a VG++, and would be NM, if not for a 1 and 1/2 inch length wear spot on the spine.  The jacket has just the faintest signs of ring-wear on both sides--not even enough wear to refer to it as "ring-wear".  It is more like an outline of the discs.  This jacket was printed and made in Germany by Heinrich Nicolaus G.m.b.H Electrola Gesellschaft M.B.H., Koln-Braunsfeld.  The German Gatefold jacket is marked SMO 2051/52.

This Beatles LP did not come with the poster and the photos of the four Beatles.  I m unsure as to whether the absence of these accessories is due to the LP being the first release or whether thse items were misplaced.  I've owned this LP for over 7 years and have tried to find another Italian White Album to descern if the poster and photos simply were not included.

The discs are housed in their original Black Inners.

We do, however, list our "handling time" as 2 "work-week" days in order to allow for any unforeseen circumstances.

Overseas shipping is as follows; Europe and the UK posts at $16.50 and we charge $1.00 for each additional LP, for up to three LPs per record mailer. ROW ships at $18.50 with the same combined discounts!

All of our LPs are professionally packaged in brand new top of the line record mailers, using cardboard stiffeners when we separate the LP from their jackets. Each vinyl and each jacket is placed in a polyurethane record sleeve to further ensure that your LP arrives in the same exact shape that it left in.
