Visual: NEAR MINT
Both discs of this well looked-after, little played set retain deep-gloss unworn playing surfaces which appear 'as new' in strong daylight with just a few harmless wispy marks from the inner-sleeve visible on side 4 only. closer examination directly beneath halogen light reveals little more than a few harmless wispy hairlines and a sparkling rainbow shine. All labels are bright & unworn with just a handful of well-aimed spindle trails around each centre hole. The reminder that these discs are nearly 50 years old are a few faint age spots on the side 2 label.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
A real treat to hear a 1st mono pressing of this LP free from any crackle or groovewear distortion which blights 99% of all existing copies. Carefully played on high-end equipment only, everything on these discs is clean, warm & clear with the only audible distraction we heard being a few soft ticks on the fadeout of 'Julia'. If you have been looking for a superior sounding copy of this album, this one will not disappoint.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
A worthy cover for the discs inside is this early numbered example which has been stored in a non-smoking environment.
The front is clean & bright with the only sign of wear being a few indentation lines front storage towards the upper & lower edges.
The number is a little faint but has not been rubbed or worn and it still sharp and readable.
Both panel inside are also glossy & unworn with just a few tiny age spots tin the lower part of the hinge.
The rear panel is as clean as the front but has a few heavier storage marks along its lower edge.
All of the top-opening edges are clean, sharp & undamaged.
The spine is unbent with a little age-discolouration to the lower end but retains a full laminate covering both sets of wording.
Poster: MINT
Photos: MINT
Inner-sleeves: EXCELLENT +
Clean & flat with some gentle storage wrinkles but no tears or seam splits.
Overall this is an exceptional, low-numbered example which would be tough to upgrade.
