Up for auction is the 1st US Los Angeles plant pressing factory sealed copy of the “The Beatles” album, which is also known as the “White Album” released by Capitol Records on November 22, 1968. The original 1st print laminated glossy gatefold cover having the embossed “The Beatles” of this copy contains a very low number “0009831” and was one of the 1st batch covers with the numbers beginning with 0000101 to about 0215000 that were assigned to by Capitol Records to its Los Angeles, California pressing plant. The front cover contains the rarest pink song title 5 ¾” x 4¼” hype sticker affixed to the top underneath the shrink wrap. It’s perhaps worth dedicating some time to the description of this sticker. It’s so rare that the only information source about its existence is Frank Daniels and his painstaking work involving the cataloguing of all of the stickers that have ever come across on the covers of the “White Album”. Without any doubts, the copies with this sticker exist in some private collections, but there’s only information available online about one sold Scranton, PA pressing copy with the “A1671568” number. At first glance, it might seem that this sticker is similar to the most common one with blue text and a white background. Nevertheless, it’s different in size and some font elements. Just like all of the 1st pressing copies, this commercial release contains the original extra materials featuring a large double-sided 23" x 34" color poster featuring a rights statement on the lyrics side with the second line of the statement reading "© Apple Records" and four 8" x 10" portrait photos, one of each Beatle, containing the "Printed in USA" logo in the lower left-hand corner. Many copies of this issue come with a 8" x 10" protector sheet. These blank sheets of paper of different colors were used to separate the sets of photos at the factory. However, we can’t guarantee its presence inside this factory sealed copy.

This white factory sealed album is in truly gorgeous Mint condition presenting one of the best examples of a factory sealed copy of the “White Album” that we’ve seen in many years, not to mention the fact that it contains the rarest pink sticker variation. The shrink wrap contains the original breathe holes and is fully intact.
