Description
I am selling some early, rare, and rather obscure Beatles LPs from my collection. So, please check my other auctions too.
In this auction:
· “THE BEATLES WITH TONY SHERIDAN AND THEIR GUESTS” by The Beatles with Tony Sheridan and the Titans
· This LP is MGM Records E4215.
· It is the MONO PRESSING of this LP.
· This LP was released February 3, 1964.
· This is the FIRST VINYL PRESSING OF THIS LP. We know this because all first pressing labels have “ASCAP” designations for “My Bonnie” and “The Saints”. Second pressings have “BMI” publishing credit for these 2 songs.
· And it is an EAST COAST MGM PRESSING. We know this because “My Bonnie” has the “Trad. P.D.” credit (meaning “Traditional Public Domain”) on the label.
· This is also a FIRST PRESSING COVER of this LP. We know this because First-Run Covers have the words “and others” below the song titles on the front cover. Second-run covers do not have “and others”.
· So the 1st vinyl pressing and the 1st pressing cover are properly matched.
· Please refer to the image of the rear cover for listing of the songs on this LP.
· Here is an early U.S. Beatles pressing when ALL of the U.S. record labels (except Capitol Records, of course) were trying to find, gain the rights to, and release any and every recording made by The Beatles!
· The VINYL is VERY STRONG VG+ to WEAK NEAR MINT!!! There are several very slight surface hairlines/scuffs on side 2.
· The COVER is in VERY STRONG VG to WEAK VG+ CONDITION. There is light overall wear. There is some wear on the corners and edges. There are NO SEAM SPLITS! The reverse has very light wear and a couple of light stains made more prominent by the flash than just looking at the rear cover.
· Overall, it’s a VERY NICE COPY (vinyl and cover) of this rather obscure MGM Beatles LP to add to your vinyl collection.
