Description
The Beatles - Yellow Submarine
This is an original mono first press 1969 lp. It has the important red lines above and below the text on the rear of the sleeve.
PMC 70790 ‘Sold in UK’ text on labels.
XEX – 715 – 1, XEX 716 - 1
The front of the sleeve is in excellent condition, clean with a very little ring wear and only small amount of laminate creasing. The top and bottom of the sleeve are in excellent condition and the spine is clear and legible with only a few small laminate creases. There is a little corner wear and some feathering plus a small nick on the outside edge. The back of the sleeve shows discolouration due to handling/age although the flip backs are in excellent condition. There is no writing on the sleeve at all but a faint stain and three small, faint red marks bottom right – this does not affect the legibility of the text.
The labels are in excellent condition with no writing – there are spindle marks on both sides – more on the side 2 label.
Visually side 1 is excellent with only one visible line which is superficial and does not affect play. The vinyl is bight and clean and retains its original lustre. Side 1 plays excellent throughout. The sound is lovely, clean and bright with very little background noise in the grooves between tracks. Side 2 is visually very good plus with a few light needle marks on one track. It plays very well throughout with only some light clicks on one of the tracks. There are no skips or jumps on either side. I believe this to be a thoroughly enjoyable listen throughout.
This lp also comes with its original black inner which is in very good condition.
Please note this record will be wrapped in bubble wrap then packed in a strong card box with stiffeners. I too am a collector and will pack this Lp to ensure it arrives in the stated condition. I know that ordinary card mailers are no guarantee of this and only use very sturdy packaging. I have tried to describe this LP fully and have just had a listen to help with the description. I do however welcome any questions.
