THE BEATLES - 'YELLOW SUBMARINE'
This superb early UK 2nd STEREO pressing dates from 1970 and is on the dark green Apple Records label: PCS 7070

Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text

Matrix numbers: YEX 715-3 & YEX 716-1

Earliest possible side 1 stamper codes for this improved '-3' recut: 1/G & 3/AR

Vinyl weight: 136g

Housed within an front laminated, trip-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover, with printer's credit on the rear lower flipback

Complete with original 'Apple Copyright' worded plain white inner-sleeve

Labels: EXCELLENT +

A richly coloured set with a small number of light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT +

Superb deep-gloss playing surfaces which retain all of their factory shine and bear nothing more than some harmless paper scuffs in strong daylight, consistent with the few times this disc has been removed from its inner-sleeve.

Sound Quality: EXCELLENT

This fine sounding copy has received minimal careful play on good equipment and plays without any significant deterioration to the sound quality or any major faults. Aside from some light crackle during quieter passages on the orchestral suite, there is little2 to fault.

Cover: EXCELLENT +

A 1st-clss example of this easily blemished cover which is white & unyellowed throughout. The striking front panel has a few light edge wrinkles but no 'thumbnails' to its unscratched high-gloss laminate. There is a small bump to the upper left corner but no discernible wear to either of the opening edges. The exposed rear panel has one or two very faint blemishes but is free from any writing or missing paper.

All flipbacks are fully intact and both seams and the spine are smooth & unworn.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Clean with some age-toning and the original (Swedish) retailer's sticker on the top edge.
