The Beatles - Yesterday And Today 1966 Vinyl LP Record Album. Condition is Used. Shipped by USPS Media Mail with tracking and only within 48 contiguous U.S. states. Shipping charge includes packing album in plastic wrapper in box designed for shipping albums with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap if needed to assure safest shipping. I DO NOT PROFIT FROM THE SHIPPING CHARGE! I try to make it as fair as possible for all concerned. Record in great condition, light-colored cover shows smudges and discoloration including mild ring wear.
At first, I thought this was a potential second state butcher cover. As you can see by the photos, no attempt has been made to peel off the sticker. You can tell it is a tip-on sticker but what you cannot tell is whether or not there is a butcher cover underneath. You are supposed to see Ringo's black V-neck shirt to the right of the top of the trunk if it is a second state butcher cover and, try as I might, I cannot see it so I have doubts about whether or not it is a second state butcher cover. But, if it is, it has a tremendous amount of value. I just don't have the guts to mess with the sticker.
UPDATE: A helpful was emailed from a fellow Ebayer who told me that second state butcher covers were trimmed at the opening so should be 1/8" shorter side to side than top to bottom which this one is NOT so further evidence that this is probably, or almost definitely, not a second state butcher cover. However, it is still a cool, old album worth owning. I have reduced the price further accordingly.
