Yes, it is THE BUTCHER COVER!
This here is a THIRD-STATE Butcher.
This particular copy was pressed at Capitol's Los Angeles plant, as indicated by the "6" next to the RIAA logo on the back of the jacket.
This is a 100% authentic, original pressing of this album
. . . not one of the many reissues abundant on eBay these days!
I have taken numerous pictures of the item for sale.
As you can see, it is in rough condition. The trunk slick was not peeled very well and a lot of leftover paper remains. However, this could easily be removed by someone who is familiar with restoration work.
Also, there are some tears in the butcher slick, but they are mostly in the area surrounding the boys and their mess. The rear slick is also a mess, and the top and bottom seams are split.
The way I see it, this copy is best suited for a frame, as the split seams and messy rear slick won't be out in the open. Simply clean up the front and you'll have a nice wall-piece!
The jacket comes in a protective plastic sleeve, and the whole package will be insured!
A disc and original Capitol liner are also included. The liner is nice, but the disc is beat-up. However, I don't see anyone buying a Butcher Cover for the disc any way.
Given the condition and age of this item, it is being sold "as-is" with no returns. However, I guarantee that it looks no different in person than it does in the pictures I have provided.
