The Beatles “Yesterday and Today” Butcher Cover Special Pressing Re-issue


This is a special pressing vinyl record of the Beatles famous 1966 Yesterday and Today “Butcher” cover. It is a re-issue purchased at Austin’s Waterloo Records in around 2010. It has never been opened and is in excellent condition. The vinyl record comes in a variety of colors—yellow, off-yellow, off-white. I am including a picture of the vinyl record from another album that I did open. I do not know what color the vinyl record in this album is. It is a MONO pressing.


The cover is from the 1966 album released only in the United States and Canada. It features a photo from Robert Whitaker showing the band dressed up in white smocks and covered with decapitated baby dolls. Capitol Records pressed 750,000 copies of the album with this cover and then recalled them, replacing this cover with one featuring the band around an open trunk.
