Description
This is the first Beatle album I ever owned -- 1966 -- I was 13 years old.
It had the trunk cover on it. I read in one of my teen magazines
about the scandalous butcher shop cover hidden beneath.
I remember carefully steaming off that trunk cover to reveal the dolls!
I glued the fragments of the trunk cover to a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" paper
(backed by a panty hose cardboard liner).
I was so proud! (& I was so happy to shock my mother!)
The Beatles Yesterday and Today, on Capitol label, stereo, ST 2553.
Orange Capitol '66 sleeve.
Split seams about 3" at top & bottom right sides.
I wrote my last name on the back top margin
of the cover & my initials on the label border on side 2.
There is scuffing on the back cover. I took very good care of the record,
so the surfaces of the record are in very good condition,
no scratches & minimal scuffing.
The record, sleeve, & the salvaged trunk cover are included.
(The bars of light across the record in the photo
are a reflection from the window above it.)
I am selling a number of Beatles albums from my own collection of 45 years.
(I was one of the original screaming teeny-boppers.)
