We are delighted to offer this rare Beatles LP on e-bay today; this was issued on the red label before parlophone changed to the back label in 1965 and the LP is in mono.
The vinyl LP is “Very Good Plus” (VG+) to “Very Good” (VG) condition; VG records have a have a fair amount of scratches and VG+ will have very few scratches; I would say that this is half way between the two.
Any scratches on the LP look very light and don’t hit the eye unless you look for them; if you look at the photo you will see what I mean.
The record looks perfectly playable; I do not have a stylus at the moment but from a lifetime of playing vinyl records I would say it would play reliably.
The gatefold cover is not in a good condition and I have tried to show this on other photos; tape has been put around the top of the cover to the right of John Lennon’s head on the top right hand of the reverse and on the front you can see evidence of the tape by the title ‘The Beatles in Italy’ – both shown on photos; there is a tear where the cover opens (the tape was there to cover this) which you will see on the photo. Inside the gatefold cover I have put a plane white inner cover as there wasn’t one with this record when I acquired it.
S&H is $6.00 which will include professional packing priority mail and insurance.
Non-USA buyers are welcome but will need to be quoted for S&H separately and it will be MANDATORY WITH NO EXCEPTIONS for non-USA buyers to use Paypal. We try to be fair with S&H - sometimes we win sometimes we lose - and since the changes in US postal rates we quote a median inland rate to keep things simple but S&H is not negotiable - so please don't write and ask for it to be cheaper - and we ALWAYS insure inland items. Insurance on overseas sales is optional as the US Postal Services only insure international mail if it is dispatched via Parcel Post. Paypal is an excellent service, which we recommend; it is free to USA buyers and enables goods to be dispatched within a day or so of the completion of the auction. I will send the high bidder an e-bay invoice at the end of the auction. Also - please note: we do NOT accept money orders, postal orders or certified checks unless sent by recorded mail- in other words anything that cannot be traced and cancelled immediately.
