Numerous blogs & other sources claim that only 1,000 copies of this box set were manufactured.  True, or urban myth?  Here’s a chance to own this Beatle rarity.

All LPS appear like new.  All vinyl is bright & shiny, and possibly un-played.   Some spotty sleeve dust is visible on some, but all are free from surface markings or groove-wear.

All jackets also appear minimally handled and are in the same near-great condition.  “Sgt Peppers,” “The White Album,” and “For Sale” are all gatefolds.  “Sgt Peppers” includes the insert card, and “The White Album” has the raised white letters plus 4 photos & poster included.  To minimize handling, only one label photo is shown with this listing.  Unfortunately, seven of the ten albums are beginning to show flaking and / or tiny breakages along the bottom seams.  Years of transport & motion has caused the vinyl to slowly knife through the jacket.  As the photos show, the damage is minimal, but consequently we will ship all records & sleeves separately to minimize any more deterioration of the jackets.

The red box itself is solid, but does show inevitable scrapes, dings and wear mostly visible along the corners.  Upon close examination, the worst scuffing is apparent two inches below the words “mono collection” on the front.  This area has two scrapes and three tiny punctures which fortunately are not visible from a distance.  The flaws described are clearly displayed on the last two photos of the picture series with this listing.

·        VG –  Very Good - Appears Like-New.  Possibly un-played or  once-played.

·        G -  Good – Clean, minimally-played and carefully-handled.  Minimal handling & wear.  May include very faint usage or handling traces but retains original glossy-shine.

·        FG – Fairly Good – Normal to average wear. May include scattered  hairlines & some mild scuffing-blemishes which will not affect playback.

·        F – Fair – Heavier wear and scuffing, but acceptable.

·        P – Poor – Useful for artwork and liner-notes.

Audiophile or discriminating collectors are encouraged to consider only records in our Very Good or Good categories.
