Description

   Here is a nice Vee-Jay 2 LP set which was originally issued in August , 1964. This set was one of Vee-Jays last attempts to repackage 12 Beatles songs they had the rights to before Capitol regained them in October of that year. This compilation brought together two previously released Vee-Jay LP'S - "Introducing The Beatles" and "Golden Hits Of The Four Seasons" - into a deluxe package with a poster. The concept  was for the listener to compare each of the 12 Beatles songs vs. the corresponding 12 Four Seasons songs and score each on the back cover. The winner was determined by adding up the scores in each of the columns and writing the name of the winning group in the bottom blank space.  Very few of these album covers have survived without the scores in the back and fewer yet in VG+ condition.

   As for condition the cover rates a nice VG+ with just a small amount of checkering on the top seams. There are no seam splits and the spine is in nice shape. There asre no tears and no writing on the cover. The Beatles album is a nice VG+ with side one being VG++ and side two VG+ with a couple of light lines and needle scuffs. The album plays loud and clear with a minimum amount of noice. The Four Seasons album is in great condition - a very strong VG++. The labels on both albums are VG+.  The poster is original and is in VG+ condition with no tears, writing or pin holes on the corners. There are a couple of light creases near the center of the poster. This poster in its original form is very hard to find and normally not included with this item when it comes up for auction.
