Description
The time has come for me to part with my 50 year old Beatles collection. This collection consists of LP's, 45's, picture sleeves, EP's, 12" singles, picture discs, sealed LP's, test pressings, acetates, promos, box sets, and CD's from the US and the UK. The collection also includes vinyl and CD's from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Apple artists. There are numerous rarities in this collection. The vast majority of the vinyl is in NM- to NM condition; I tried not to acquire anything with a grade below that, or attempted to upgrade, although a few of the extremely hard to find items I was unable to upgrade and they will have a grade below that. If you are a Beatles collector, be sure to bookmark me as the items I'll be listing will surely be of interest. Here we go; a splendid time is guaranteed for all.
The Beatles-"Leave My Kitten alone"/"Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da", Capitol B-5439, pressed in 1985. This is the picture sleeve only; the 45 was planned as the first single from the aborted "Sessions" project. They got as far as designing the picture sleeve before the whole thing was stopped. Somehow a batch of the sleeves got out; I'm unsure of how many, estimates vary. (Why this song never got released at the time it was recorded instead of something like "Mr. Moonlight" amazes me; they do a fantastic version). The sleeve is in NM-/NM condition with a couple of tiny wrinkles; no tears or splits. Rare Beatles artifact; these are getting hard to find.
