This is an ORIGINAL (not a reproduction) example of one of the rarest if not THE rarest of all Beatles picture sleeves. Of the one thousand or so produced in early 1964, it's

believed that perhaps as few as ten (10) originals exist today.

This auction is for the actual picture sleeve shown in these photos and will also include the original Walter Hofer pressing of the 45 record that came with it.

If you aren't familiar with the story of how this sleeve came to be, I strongly recommend you do some research online. It's a unique and fun part of Beatles lore.

As you can see by the many pictures  included, this example does show lots of typical age wear. Including small tears, unglued seam and patina.

Note * As well as the unglued seam, the other 2 seams have about one inch splits as well.

I've been collecting rare Beatles records and memorabilia for over 50 years and have been slowly selling my collection.
