Rare west coast pressing of Beatles "Lady Madonna" 45. This is a transition lable from Capitol Records LA factory. You can tell by the asterisk shape you can find in the dead wax.The lables are two different variations that overlapped when transitioning from the first version which you can see here being the B-side "The Inner Light", to the second version being the wider font on side A "Lady Madonna". Even the right side publishing credits and producer info is a different type and lined up differently. Two different lables. Pretty cool. I have been told only this single and "Hello Goodbye"/I am The Walrus were ever printed with the second wide font. But this one here has both the first and second fonts on the same record, thus the transition lable. I have been told by another collector that he has never seen one like this of this Beatles title. Interesting. The condition of this though is not the best. I played both sides and it played with no skips or sticking, but has some surface noise. Visually the worst scatch in on the b-side. Not deep, can't feel with finger. But it is there. All others are small surface scuffs to my eye. Record was well played, but still sounds good. I am not a serious record collector or dealer. That being said if i was to grade it in my opinion it would be a G. Labels are clean with no writing but has some ware. Check out the pics carefully. I have know idea where to start an auction on this item, no references. So i'm doing a buy it now for 40.00 Sold as is. NO returns. Thanks for looking!!!!
