Description
Here is the original 1965 Leedon 1st pressing of this mega-rare LP. There's not too much I can say about this one except that you will not get too many opportunities to own this great collectors item so you will need to capitalise on that opportunity!! Again, serious bids only please. I have included photographs of the front cover, back cover & record here to help all bidders.
The gradings are as follows - Cover VG/VG+
The front cover has just some slight fraying around the edges and some creasing in places due to the long-term storage of the record inside it's cover. The back cover is very clean again with just the creasing mark at the places where the record is stored inside. There is a small original price sticker on the back cover which I have not removed which shows the price in both pre-decimal and decimal currency (55/ Shillings or $5.50) so this one was obviously sold back in early 1966 (40 years ago believe it or not) when it was still in print. It was not kept in print for very long as it was subsequently re-issued on Festival's budget Calendar label, copies of which are also now rather scarce.
The record is very clean and I have hardly ever seen a copy as good as this on the few occassions I have encountered it - I would grade it EX- on both sides. Side One has a couple of light surface marks (scuffs) only but they are inaudible when the record is played. Side Two has some similar markings which are caused by the record coming into contact with the turntable it was played on - it looks like it may have had maybe half a dozen plays of each side at the most during it's entire 40-year life span.
This is a copy for the serious collector so good luck!!
