Description

  • Chess Records LP 1427, this is an original US mono pressing - NOT a recent reissue - of the classic "The Best Of Muddy Waters" LP. Non-laminated jacket is a nice VG++, showing some minor rubbing/ring wear; there are no splits or tears. Side 1 is a shiny and clean VG++, showing some minor paper/surface marks. Playback is solid - occasions of crackle and such - while A side label is crisp with no spindle wear. Side 2 is a shiny and clean VG, as there are some paper/surface marks, but also some feelable scratches on a few tracks. Playback is still solid - a bit of audible crackle during most of the songs - with some of the scratches also ticking when passed over. (The tracks "Hoochie Coochie", "I Want You To Love Me", and "Still A Fool" all feature this ticking, although there are no skips or repeats.) B side label is also crisp with no spindle wear.
