EXCELLENT (EX) – record shows some signs of wear, may have some light scuffs or surface scratches – not affecting the quality of sound, some minor wear of the sleeve – creases and marks
VERY GOOD (VG) – record has some surface noise is evident when playing, some scratches, sleeve may have writing, tape or stickers, creases and marks
GOOD (G) – record has significant surface noise and scratches, plays without skipping, visible groove wear, sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing or ring wear
FAIR (F) – record is cracked, badly warped, won’t play without skipping, sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily marred by wear and writing
