Buddy Miles Band – “Chapter VII” (Columbia CQ 32048).  Great 1973 release by percussionist and former member of Jimi Hendrix’s Band of Gypsys and the Electric Flag.  Having achieved instant success at Columbia with the Carlos Santana & Buddy Miles! Live! LP (1972), a proper studio record was released a year later.  As it was Miles’ seventh solo outing, it was dubbed Chapter VII.  Chapter VII can rightfully be seen as Miles’ last pure funkrock ‘n’ soul oriented LP, before succumbing to the disco trend from 1974 onwards.
