Description

Here is your opportunity to own the Sweetheart of the Rodeo album from The Byrds.  This was the sixth studio album from The Byrds.  This album is famous for being the first and the last Byrds album to include Gram Parsons.  The contributions and influence from Gram Parsons shine through on this album.  This is considered the birth of country rock and it is a phenomenal listen.  Rolling Stone Magazine ranked Sweetheart of Rodeo number 115 out of the top 500 albums of all time.  If you have never heard this album, you owe to yourself to hear it on vinyl.  This album is one of my all time favorites and I highly recommend it.  This LP is the 1st U.S. stereo pressing on Columbia from 1970.  This particular LP has XSM 136653-1e  5  ?  0 as the matrix number etched in the dead wax, on side one.  Side two of the LP has XSM 13664-1e  5  ?  0 etched on the dead wax.  The vinyl visually is in Very Good Plus Condition.  The LP has some light hairline scratches and light paper scuffs on each side.  The blemishes are not very noticeable and you have to be looking for them.  The blemishes have little to no affect on the playback quality.  The sound quality on the playback is Very Good Plus or better.  The LP labels are very clean with only a couple of faint spindle marks on each side.  The LP cover is in Very Good condition.  The cover has some light ring wear on the front and back of the cover.  The ring is the most prominent on the bottom of the front of the cover.  The ring wear on bottom even has one small half inch area where the paper has rubbed off.  The back of the cover has a really small date written on the top left corner.  The seams and spine all have a fair amount of wear.  The top seam has the least amount of wear with some light signs of age and color loss.  The bottom seam has quite a bit of wear with a large amount of color loss.  The spine also has some wear but it is completely legible.  None of the seams have any splits.  I have taken pictures to illustrate all of the flaws.  This album has been professionally cleaned on a VPI 16.5 and will be shipped in a brand new white inner sleeve.  The album will come in a new 3 mil poly sleeve.  The album will be professional shipped in an LP mailer with two 12 inch cardboard inserts.  The LP will be positioned outside of the jacket when shipped.  This album is ready for playing or storage.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  I do not ship outside of the United States.  I can combine shipping for multiple auction wins.  Please bid with confidence.
