Description
Welcome to Across the Tracks Record Store
This auction listing is for a very rare 7 inch vinyl Northern Soul single
The Celestrals
Title: Chain Reaction
B Side: Keep Your Hands Off My Baby
Label is RCA The Catalogue number is 47 - 9016
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN IMPORT SINGLE FROM THE USA.
There is no year shown on this label but I believe this might be a Re-release / repressing with there being no year. I am not totally sure
It was a big Northern Soul hit and it is a nice light hearted dancer.
The B side is sometimes called the A side by some fans.
I have graded this record a VG++ to a possible Near Excellent as it does play extremely well on both sides.
I feel it is a worthy n/exc but I am being cautious
There are some small scratches visible at the start of Chain Reaction, but after three plays, I am satisfied they do not affect play at all.
The track plays brilliantly
The B side has some very slight start up crackles but they soon disappear.
The sleeve is an RCA company sleeve, which is in VG+ condition
The centre is a wide holed centre, like most imports, so it will need an insert, which I will provide.
There is a name written on the center label on the Chain Reaction side and the word Northern written there too.
There is no hole drilled in the single label, which you sometimes see with Imports from the US.
This is a great Northern Soul song, which I have always loved. This record is from my own collection.
Grading:
I use the Rare Record Guide matrix as a guideline but also prefer to listen to the vinyl where possible and visually grade the condition.
