Condition:  EX Record- Black glossy record with no feelable scratches, nor deep heavy groove lines or edge chips. With both labels clean with no writing or spindle marks from stacking. Cover VG  Couple of issues -Jacket shows noticeable ring wear with back more so-photo shows the bottom record bend with slight discoloration from pressure of shrink wrap that was too tight two decades or so ago damage, it is now in poly sleeve w/o shrink. Inner record sleeve is generic.

Summary: Once again its chaos with former KAOS fm DJ Kidd Rhythm unraveling & spinning the yarn with words and selling sounds from a bygone era. It wasn’t only the Belmonts with Dion that Laurie Records on the East Coast turned us on too. In the spring of  ‘63 the label had a hit single on the Billboard charts with the girl group sound, He’s So Fine by The Chiffons. The  independent east coast recording label continued building the momentum with their million selling plus charted single by releasing a full length 12” self titled monophonic vinyl LP with a dozen tunes showcasing the Bronx R&B vocal quartet with He’s So Fine as the number one play.

The Chiffons debut album also includes the 7” single “My Block” which the Chiffons recorded under the pseudonym The Four Pennies. Laurie Records released the single on their subsidiary Rust Records. The girls also cover a few sounds that fans of the genre will recognize. Such as the Shirelles classic Will You Love Me Tomorrow from 1960 & from 1955 The Teenagers original Why Do Fools Fall In Love. In 1965 Laurie Records made available their back catalog to record companies that offered record club memberships to subscribers. The main difference between the 1963 album & this one from 1965 is the sound. The initial recording of He's So Fine by the Chiffons was recorded in Monophonic and released in 1963. In 1965 the same album was electronically reproduced in simulated Stereophonic to accommodate playing on the newer phonographs that were able to play stereo as stated on the record album jacket.Other than the altered sound it is the same album and usually sells for less among collectors, although some prefer the club issue sound and vinyl junkies will buy it for they are completest and have to one copy of each which includes the 21st Century release (CD only) in true stereophonic. Other than that its up to the judgment of the listener.
