Description
The CLASH - The CLASH - released 8th April 1977.
CBS 82000 - A2-B2 matrix - Red Dot Inner.
Logo tinged red rather than normal deep orange.
Cover EX - VINYL NM - RED DOT INNER EX.
The cover shows a little wear at corners and very minor ringwear but excellent for a 44 year old punk record. Spine still sharp as seen on pic.
The vinyl is superb, hardly a blemish.
There are a lot of CBS 82000 on Ebay claiming to be this... claiming to be that...
The only way to determine one of the first 10,000 for certain is with the red dot inner and the A2-B2 matrix.
The A2 matrix is stamped and the B2 matrix is hand etched (see Discogs 'The Clash First Press Red Sticker Version' for confirmation and further details).
The red dot sticker could be cut from the inner and posted to the NME to be redeemed with a coupon for the Capital Radio EP (now worth £150-£250).
The A2-B2 matrix is exclusive to the NME offer.
A genuine punk rarity, not many around in this condition and with the red dot.
**I will consider all offers but to me this is right up there with the NMTBs SPOTS issue**
Been off Ebay for a while but on Discogs as strummerville64 see my rating there.
