Save BIG on Combined Shipping!
Be sure to see my other record, DVD, Blu-ray, CD, cassette and book auctions on eBay. Adding any of those items to your package will cost only an additional 50 cents shipping per auction to any United States address. (Note that comic books cannot be shipped by Media Mail, so they are not included in this offer.) Go nuts!
----- Important Note -----
This is a vinyl record, it is not a CD! (Just wanted to make that clear...)
----- Description of Item -----
Photos above always show the actual item or items that you will get from me, because I never use "stock photos." (Excuse any reflections or focus issues!)
My standard disclaimer about vinyl: As with all vinyl records, there will be at least some pops, clicks and other surface noise even on a brand-new record, so do not expect flawlessly pristine CD sound quality. I grade on the following scale: Like New, Very Good (some flaws, nothing major), Good (more noticeable flaws, but still acceptable), Fair (looking pretty bad, but not a total disaster) and Poor (really bad with major defects).
This is a collectible original issue vintage vinyl promo copy (indicated by the hole punch at top right of the jacket, the sticker at bottom of jacket front, and the text on the label) of the 1978 "Christmas Portrait" album by The Carpenters. A really wonderful Christmas album that just makes you feel good, with great renditions of many Christmas classics by Karen Carpenter and brother Richard Carpenter. A&M Records label, catalog number SP-4726, no UPC number.
Condition details:
Jacket: Good, kept from being Like New because it has "age browning"; some discolorations and crimps; a mark slightly above the middle of the left edge at the spine; the promo hole-punch at top right; something written in ballpoint pen ink at top left corner of the back cover; and the "Promotion Not for Sale" sticker at bottom right. Note that this album came with the sticker that says "A Christmas Present To, From, and the Carpenters" attached directly to the front of the jacket. (Because it was a promo, this copy of the album did not come in shrinkwrap, where the sticker normally would have been attached.) Don't get me wrong, it's not a disaster, but be aware that the jacket definitely looks "used."
Record: Very Good, with only some very minor occasional surface noise (some faint occasional crackles, but no repeating pop-click scratches; the record probably sounded like this the day it was pressed).
Inner sleeve: Printed paper inner sleeve with lyrics to all songs has no splits. Great to use for singing along!
You'll love it!
ANOTHER GREAT AUCTION, FROM A SMOKE-FREE, PET-FREE HOME!
----- Shipping -----
Flat $3.99 shipping (in sturdy new cardboard record mailer) for Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation to any United States address. Add only 50 cents for each additional auction of mine after the first that can be shipped by Media Mail (which includes records, CDs, cassettes, DVDs, Blu-rays and books, but not comic books).
INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS: eBay adds a premium to the cost of international shipping as part of their Global Shipping service. None of that extra money goes to me. I only get exactly the same shipping amount that a US bidder would pay, and all of the rest goes to eBay -- so don't blame me if eBay's shipping prices to other countries are high, because I have absolutely no control over them! ALSO: eBay's Global Shipping Program is the only method that I use to ship to international bidders. So whatever price eBay's shipping calculator lists is how much shipping will cost you, and there are no alternatives.
Good luck! .
