Description
This item is the double album release from Westwood One and the Mutual Broadcasting System entitled Now, Then and Always - A Carpenters Special. This program has a complete playing time of approximately 85 minutes, and was originally issued for broadcast the week of November 20th to 26th, 1989, to coincide with the release of the Love Lines album. The program is narrated by Sylvia Amerito (possibly mis-spelled) and features extensive chronological interviews with Richard Carpenter, covering everything from the beginning days in 1970 of the Richard Carpenter Trio and the Magic Lamp label single (Looking For Love is included here) to some of the Karen Carpenter solo material and the release of the Love Lines album, commemorating the 20th anniversary with A&M Records. This 2LP set comes in a generic white sleeve. The records have custom Westwood One labels, and are labeled "For Broadcast the week of 11/20 to 11/26/89. The records are virtually spotless, with no scratches, scuff marks, or other signs of dirt or use at all. This item is a true rarity for any fan and collector of Carpenters' material.
