Description
Vinyl was play tested through Focal Elegia's and it played overall as EX+, numerically a 92 with tracks A3 and A4 playing more in the 90 range relative to just a tiny bit more surface noise and B1 played as an 84 with the issue being a 3mm scratch on the record that produced one light tick and another that sounded more like a missed dust fleck (overall the track played EX+ less that defect and truthfully looking at it I thought it was going to be more noticeable than it was). Visually, it is line with the play and based on this the vinyl is scored as EX. No kidding aside this is one of the best sounding albums I've heard in a while (and also if you're looking at this, the Rhino High Fi store has a new copy of this album limited to 5,000 copies that was just released last week).
The sleeve is scored as EX with a 15mm x 12mm sticker residual (I missed this a few time and only saw it under super bright light and it's above the right wrist, under regular light you won't see it), very light corner wear on the bottom left and a 6mm impression on the bottom right corner that is on the rear as well along with a small wear spot on the bottom right corner. On the top seam there are two color chips, one at 3mm and the other at 2mm along with a 4mm dimple on the top seam above the L in Listen. Beyond that the cover is glossed so when angling it in light you can see some small rub marks most noticeably within the top blue banner. Finally, again at angles, there is hints of ring wear at the 12 and 6 positions. Both inserts show only the lightest wear. Numerically it is a solid 87.
Album will be mailed in a cardboard mailer between cardboard with bubble wrap. If you have any questions please let me know and thanks for looking!
