Description
Ultra rare early Australian Garage Rock N Roll LP by the Chessmen, who toured and recorded with Johnny Chester (originally as The Jaywoods).
"Dance Favourites" was released in 1964 on the W&G Blue Label Series (WG/25/1915) in MONO and is an absolutely fantastic example of the gritty sounding garage rock that would influence generations of Australian bands.
Sleeve is graded as Very Good (VG). It has minor ringwear and edge wear as well as a sticker mark and minor creasing in the top right (see picture). No seam split and both front and rear are exceptionally clean and shiny considering that this record is over 50 years old!
Record is graded as Very Good Plus (VG+) because of some very minor hairline marks but it plays like a Near Mint copy. The mono sound is wonderfully loud and clear. Stunning quality heavy vinyl, with a very distinctive serrated edge.
