Description

For sale is a bit of an oddity and I will explain why

For sale is an original copy of London calling lol

The matrix numbers and run out grooves are as follows

Side 1: cbs-s clash-3-a-3 cl-1-2-a-3 the writing ty-cbs is written in the groove as well

Side 2: cl 1-2 b3

Side 3: cl 3-4 -a-2   cbs-s clash -3-c-2 Timtom is also scratched into the groove

Side 4: cl 3-4 b3 cbs-s clash -d3

Also written is ty-cbs and track 5 is Train in vain

What seems to make this record very odd is that it is stamped all over with the words withdrawn from Stock. It is stamped on the cover and all the labels and I can't work out for what reason!

I bought this from a collector who had owned it for years and for as long as it was his possession he also could not work out the reason for the stamps.

The vinyl is excellent and when checked only one light hairline mark could be seen on side 4 through tracks 1- 3 other than this the only wear is from being removed from the sleeve. The records have all been tested and play fantastically with great audio

The labels do have some light wear and the labels all say withdrawn from Stock and two sides also say 120 long eaton. Please look at the pics provided

The inner lyric sheet has some light wear but no splits or tears

The cover has a small amount of sticker residue and the scuff in the top corner. The front and back are clean and the spine is great. Only very light rubbing to the corners.

This is a seriously weird copy of this record and I have not been able to find any others stamped like this??? This could be a great buy for someone who knows or a great buy for any punk and clash fans
