Description
This is the Clash's sprawling 3 disc vinyl "Sandinista" from 1980 on CBS Records (Catalogue Number FSLN 1) consisting of their punk, reggae, dub classics such as "The Magnificent Seven", "Hitsville UK", "Rebel Waltz", "Police on My Back", "The Call Up", "Lose This Skin", "Charlie Don't Surf" and " Career Opportunities" to name a few. Had this since the 80s and 100% play tested again for this listing. The sound is Very Good Plus with just some light background crackle (with a slight jump on 'Junco Partner' on Side One). There also seems to be a bit more noticeable crackle on the early part of Side 6 than others; it maybe the nature of the dub-style tracks and echoey gaps in the music. Overall the 6 sides are free of any major issues.
The cover is not in such great condition, although it's still well intact there's quite a lot of wear on the edges, including the spine, a hole on the top edge and the bottom edge left hand side at the back is starting to come away slightly (I've photographed these to show the faults). It's also quite grubby, so I'd class as Fair/Acceptable. It still includes the fold out insert "The Armagideon Times no3" with lyrics and illustrations, which is going brown at the edges, but is wholly intact. The front cover is also one of the copies that has a hype sticker from CBS. The 2 inner sleeves are still intact, but going a little brown. One of the discs doesn't seem to have a sleeve so I've supplied a new one. Overall, because of the very good quality of the vinyl record and sound but the poorer quality of the packaging, I'd classify the whole album as Very Good Plus, therefore I've priced it accordingly. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd class or Evri tracked, depending on the day of dispatch, in appropriate packaging for a vinyl LP.

(Side 4) Track D1 is credited to Eddy Grant in the insert.
Track D7 is not listed on the cover nor on the record label.
(Side 6) Track F4 "Version Pardner" is credited to "Unknown" and published by Copyright Control instead of Clash and War Lock Music. Track is also spelled as "Version Pardner" on the label rather than "Version Partner."
