Description

An original 1st press of SAND on UK CBS custom labels. Matrix A5/B4/C2/D4/E1/F2. Etching 'Timtom'. The vinyl comes housed in an original box cover. The Armageddon Times gimmick paper [lyrics] is present. ALL three original inner sleeves with brown flecking. So, we're properly 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In marvellous condition and across six sides - has seen light use. Under close inspection I'm struggling to make out anything more than a couple of slightest marks per side, and perhaps a very superficial trail - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Across SIX sides - that's a great strike rate. Plays clean as a whistle with super clarity. Can't fault it. Bangin'...<<<
Cover (Vg+) Notoriously difficult to find in decent condition. Sticking triple vinyl into a soft card unlaminated box cover was always going to cause issues...a couple of years down the line.. let alone 40! So, if you can find a half decent looking copy - you're already ahead of the pack! What I like about this example is that it doesn't look raged at all. The white borders are still white and that front image is not tarnished by surface wear or creasing. Now, please be aware there is some low level foxing spots dotted here and there [that's why it's graded down]. Thanks to the overall aesthetic I don't find it jarring - in fact you kind have to concentrate to even spot it. Tiny sticker removal mark top right on the front. Hype sticker - full intact and unpeeled. No foxing on the rear - just very superficial handling. Very little edge wear which is unusual. Spine in excellent square condition with little wear. Only just a touch on the 'CBS' text - the rest of it is 100% legible. Overall the cover retains really nice shape and rigidity.
Inners (Vg+/Ex) No splits. One has a touch of light ageing. The others real nice. Remember these are the original flecked inners.
Armegeddon Times [Ex-] It looks very close to the original aesthetic. It has not been creased or torn. Looks in pretty smart condition.
