All three records are in VG condition. There is low grade static noise on all three records which I think will improve if they are cleaned properly, there are also pops and ticks. There is a faint repetitive tick at the end of the 1st mvt on side 1, and another one in mvts 3 and 4 of side 2.The box is in VG+ condition. It is mostly clean apart from some marks on the rear side.
This set is not in perfect condition, there is faint static noise on all three LPs, and there is a repetitive tick on side two that is quite long (mvts 3 & 4) though too loud, but none of this was particularly disturbing to me as the recorded sound is still good, and the playing is quite amazing! I don't know so much about Anner Bijlsma, but I can honestly say that this set has to be up there with the great recordings of these works, and I can't recommend it highly enough. I think the static should improve once the records are cleaned properly, but even as they are now it is a fabulous set of records.
This LP comes from a large collection of records owned by a retired music professor that I am selling on his behalf. There are some gems in the collection which I will post for auction soon. I do no grade the records visually, I listen to them in their entirety and try to give as accurate description of the condition as I can.
