Limited Edition 5 LP box set, numbered 2862 of 7,500.
Includes a 16 page booklet with introduction, bio and chronology of Otis Spann and of Lightnin' Hopkins by Mark A. Humphrey, as well as several photographs.
From the Producer's Note in the booklet: "Lightnin' Hopkins has been one of the most over-recorded artists in the blues genre. Yet his prolific output has not clouded his discographical high points. This Candid session ranks among his finest and most intimate work. . . . The Otis Spann session is undoubtedly his finest work."

"Why Limited Editions?
Mosaic does not own Pacific Jazz, Atlantic, Columbia, RCA, Blue Note, Verve or any other catalog product. With the exception of our Benedetti/Parker set, we lease all of our recordings from other record companies. The leases vary in detail, but in every case there's a cap on either the number of units we are allowed to manufacture or the number of years we're allowed to offer the set for sale. Therefore once the set has sold out, it will not be made available again."
This set is in very good condition with some scuffing and wear to box corners and a scratch to the front of the booklet.
