The Cramps Fever/Garbageman 1980 UK Withdrawn Sleeve VG+/VG+
Original 1980 UK first press with the withdrawn sleeve in great condition! THE CRAMPS - FEVER / GARBAGEMAN Plunge headfirst into the swampy, leather-clad underbelly of psychobilly history with this legendary, ultra-rare 1980 UK original 7" vinyl single pressing of Fever / Garbageman by The Cramps. Released on Illegal Records, this elusive, premier-tier collector’s artifact features the infamous, heavily suppressed "Withdrawn Sleeve" capturing all four original members—including the enigmatic Bryan Gregory—grouped together in a single, unified portrait right before the band’s historic line-up fracture. The high-velocity 45 RPM analog grooves deliver the absolute apex of the band's voodoo garage magic; Alex Chilton’s raw production lets Poison Ivy’s fuzz-drenched guitars, Nick Knox's primitive thud, and Lux Interior’s manic, throat-shredding hiccups explode from your speakers with visceral, dangerous energy. Featuring its highly collectable crossed-out matrix etchings, this beautifully preserved, plain-center punk holy grail is an absolute, non-negotiable crown jewel for any serious garage rock archivist, post-punk historian, or elite vinyl hunter. 1980 UK import/release by Illegal Records, catalog # ILS 0017. 7" single, both sides labeled "A", features withdrawn paper sleeve with all band members in the same photo. Sleeve grades VG+. Original paper sleeve in great shape. Intact seams. Shows some ringwear and light wrinkles, a little color fading at top of back. Vinyl grades VG+. Music plays crisp and clear. Vinyl surface just shows a couple of wispy hairlines. Pristine labels. The Cramps Fever/Garbageman 1980 UK Withdrawn Sleeve VG+/VG+
