Description
The Creation "Painter Man / Biff Bang Pow" Planet Records 45-119. Extremely rare US Promo edition of the classic 60s British Garage / Punk /Psych band. Label is white and has "RADIO STATION COPY" and "NOT FOR SALE" printed on label. Also reads Nationally distributed by JAY-GEE Record Co. Inc. The record surface is nice and clean, shiny with a few very very light surface marks. However, there are 2 very fine cracks in the trail-off area. I tried my best to show them but they are very fine and I did not even see them when I first bought the record. The pressing is very thin and I assume the cracks are just from being moved around through the years. I have another record by The Thoughts on the same label and it also is a thin pressing and has a small crack. The cracks on the creation single DO NOT extend into the playing grooves and I did not even hear a click on the trail-off when I played it- once again, they are very light and hard to even see unless you are looking for them. If you look on the photo of the "Biff Bang Pow" side, you can barely see one directly out from the "NOT FOR SALE" printing. This is a very hard to find US pressing and a very nice copy overall- vg+ playing surface and nice clean labels with very very light ringwear- it looks like it has always been in a sleeve and rarely played.
