Description
- The Crystals He’s A Rebel LP Vinyl Record (Mono)
- This is the 1963 ORIGINAL FIRST Philles Records issue of this record. It has the Black/Blue label. Catalog # PHLP-4001
- I listened to this record very closely before listening. (Note that my record player is of standard quality. I did not grade this record based on the listening experience of professional grade turntable playback)
- Record itself is in VG+ condition. (this is graded very conservatively) Both sides playback sound excellent
- Side 2 plays flawlessly. Side 1 sounds perfect as well if not for two minor exceptions: 1). On the track “Another Country-Another World” there are 3 audible pops heard on the track. Two occur in the beginning, in quick succession. The third occurs later in the song ; 2). On the track “Frankenstein Twist” there is one audible pop heard
- Side 2 record label looks great. On the Side 1 record label there are two faded discolored spots that appear lighter than the surrounding background
- Sleeve is in G condition. It did a great job of keeping the record from wear over the decades BUT it absorbed quite a bit of wear in the process
- There is zero cracking of the spine but the top and bottom seams are separated/ripped appropriately 40% of the length of the sleeve. The sleeve’s front cover is slightly faded in color. There are a few tiny faded stains on the top portion of the front cover. The corners exhibit a fair amount of wear
- The sleeve’s back cover has the remnants of an old price sticker still somewhat affixed to the cover. There a few small stains on the back cover. The top section of the back cover is discolored and peeling a bit. Most of the wear on the back cover appears outside of the group portrait section
- Inlay is in Fair condition. It is ripped 100% of the length of one of the side seams and more than halfway on the bottom seam. The paper is discolored and there are remnants of tape on the paper
