Description
The Crystals - Twist Uptown
Here's a great, rare find: a copy of the first LP released on Phil Spector's Philles Records, The Crystal's Twist Uptown. It was relased in 1962 and is in glorious Mono, as Uncle Phil intended it. This is an original pressing.
The rocord is VG+ there are a few marks on the surface. This particular copy seems noisy, probably due to a bad pressing, which seems to be a common problem for this disc. There is also a manufacturing defect on Side One: the label (which was printed on very thin paper) split during the pressing process.
The label on this copy also appears to be more of a light turquoise, rather than light blue.
The Sleeve is VG+: the front cover is crisp and beautiful, with only the slightly hint of ringwear. The back has a few spots on it, which could probably be cleaned off. There is a bump-related tear on the open ege of the back about 1" up from the bottom. The top corner of the opening is also slightly damaged; not split, but just a little open.
Shipping weight will be 2.5 lbs, as I want to ship this album in a heavily protected mailer.
