Artist: The Crystals
Album: Twist Uptown
Description: Hard-to-find 1966 Capitol Record Club version of this group's first record. This version has the yellow Phillies label & "Mfd. by Capitol Records" text. It was available for a short time as a mail order item at a time when The Crystals' weren't being highly promoted. It's also an early Phil Spector record, one of his first forays into the soul/girl group sound he would become known for.
Sleeve Condition: VG++, the sleeve is really nice and very clean overall. There is just a touch of light scuffing on the back & the slightest bit of corner wear, but the colors are great and there are no wrinkles or bends. One small step below NM. Still has the original inner sleeve which has a bit of discoloration, but no splits or tears. Displays great.
Vinyl Condition: NM, Disc is in fantastic shape, no scuffs or scratches at all. Very clean and shiny, this simply can't have been played many times at all. Labels look fantastic with no spindle wear or writing. Play tested in spots & it plays well with really good sound no play issues at all. The vinyl looks like it was pulled off the shelf yesterday, a top notch copy.
