“Disintegration” is the landmark eighth studio album by British alternative rock band The Cure, released in 1989 on Fiction Records. Widely regarded as one of the band’s greatest and most influential works, the album blends atmospheric gothic rock, lush synthesizers, and Robert Smith’s distinctive melancholic songwriting.
The album includes some of The Cure’s most celebrated tracks, including “Lovesong,” “Pictures of You,” “Lullaby,” and “Fascination Street.” Known for its expansive sound and emotional depth, “Disintegration” became both a critical and commercial success and remains a defining album of the late 1980s alternative and gothic rock scene.
Other tracks on the album include “Plainsong,” “Closedown,” “Last Dance,” “Prayers for Rain,” “The Same Deep Water as You,” “Disintegration,” “Homesick,” and “Untitled.”
