Description
The Cure 'Killing An Arab' 7" Single, Small Wonder 1978
Rare UK 7" black vinyl copy of 'Killing An Arab' the debut single of The Cure, released in 1978 by Small Wonder Records (SMALL11). Side two bears '10.15 Saturday Night' and the wax runouts are marked, 'SMALL11-A1' and 'STRAWBERRY' on side 1 and 'SMALL11-B1' and 'STRAWBERRY' on side 2. The release of the single produced critical acclaim and damnation in equal measure due to its perceived racist undertones, but in fact it was based on the Albert Camus book 'The Stranger.'
The black slip cover is lightly worn around the edges and has a crease to the front top left corner. The vinyl is good with one scratch per side, but we do not know whether these affect the sound quality since we lack the appropriate equipment to play the record.
