Description

This is my copy of the Boys Don’t Cry album by The Smiths, which I originally bought in the mid-1980’s. It's been played no more than a few times, including today to confirm that it plays the whole way through on both sides.It's always been stored vertically in a proper hard record case, which has helped to keep the vinyl flat and to maintain the condition of the sleeve.

 

The vinyl is glossy and looks like new; there are no visible scratches on the vinyl, with only a couple of very minor crackles on Three Imaginary Boys  which (in my opinion) do not detract from the listening experience. The labels are very clean with no spindle marking (see photos).

 

The outer sleeve is in very good condition, with some very minor creasing of the cover near the spine, and some faint marks on the rear of the sleeve (see photos). The original paper inner sleeve is totally intact and unmarked.

 

Also included are some well-preserved cut-outs from Smash Hits (I think) featuring the lyrics for the songs Boys Don’t Cry and Charlotte Sometimes (the latter song does not appear on the album).

 

I've used the grading scale from the Vinyl Factory website(https://thevinylfactory.com/features/a-comprehensive-guide-to-grading-vinyl-records/) to grade the condition of the vinyl and sleeve for this item, as follows

Sleeve: VG+ to EX (Very Good Plus to Excellent)

Vinyl: VG+ to EX (Very Good Plus to Excellent)
