The Deviants - Ptooff! LP with Rare Foldout Sleeve
Private Press on Underground Impressarios
1967 album privately released and only available by mail order from magazines like OZ and IT. It has the amazingly vivid six panel foldout paper sleeve.The vinyl is well looked after and unmarked although it has a bit of rippling from the poly lined inner sleeve. It grades VG+ at least. I'll clean the record on my Moth RCM if the winning bidder wants me to. I must point out that the B side is pressed a bit off centre so it sounds a bit drunken - if you've got a Nakamichi Dragon CT turntable this won't be a problem.
The sleeve is Excellent all things considered. Bearing in mind it's just paper the colours are bright and there's no tearing. There's a little wear where it was folded but it's not particularly thick paper and it's a relic from the summer of love, it has the right to show a bit of age!
There aren't many of these about, you may have quite a wait for another one.
I'm also selling the third Deviants LP - the Nun sleeve one.
Like many of the records I'm selling today this came from the large collection of a busy man now aged 61. Due to the size of his collection many of the LPs were only played once or twice from new - some were never played and they were all properly looked after. His musical taste was towards the avant garde/free end of the jazz spectrum as well as being a fan of prog, psych and experimental music. I will be selling selected records from his collection over the next few years so please add me to your favourites list!
