Hello everyone, I'm listing in this auction a very rare recent estate find, and a one of a kind recording by 'The Doors', a vintage 45 rpm acetate disc test pressing of The Doors 'Peace Frog' and 'Blue Sunday' that was recorded in 1969 for release in 1970 by Elektra/Asylum Records on 'Morrison Hotel'. It's not for play, these are rare and 'acetates' require special needles to play them, they degrade rapidly when played with a standard turntable stylus.
The disc is composed of nitrocellulose lacquer over an aluminum core disc, and the plain white label was simply typewritten, the inside rim is bare so the aluminum is clearly seen. There are a few nicks on the outside edge in the vinyl revealing the aluminum base, but the playing surface is not chipped. It does have some surface scuffs and the expected signs of wear consistent with the age and use of the disc. It's in the original 'as found' condition with no restoration or cleaning having been attempted. I'm thinking this has never been cleaned, and it was in a massive collection of 45's for quite some time.
The sleeve is just a plain cardstock weight sleeve, and the disc is heavier than the usual vinyl, it weighs 2.5 ounces, and vinyl weighs about 1.2, and it measures about 6 7/8" across. I take great care all around for each one of my listings, from uploading good photos of every angle of the item, to carefully and adequately packing and shipping them. Buyers will only be charged the appropriate shipping fee according to the zip code they live in and by the actual weight and value of the package. I only charge insurance fees if I feel that the item is especially fragile or valuable and I usually foot that cost myself. Rising rates and slow delivery times are never within a seller's control, I'm not in control of the United States Post Office's prices, any issue is with them and eBay (who carves out their 10% of shipping fees for themselves), not with me. I don't charge for time spent packing and shipping, or gas money. I keep it as close to the bone as I can.

Most items that I sell are either vintage or used, so they're not usually like new and they're sold "as is". I upload lots of photos, items will always be described to the absolute best of my ability, and I can also send more photos thru the eBay message system if asked.
