One of the first uncensored copies pressed at the Monarch, Los Angeles pressing plant, which has a clearly audible a series of "F*ck" (censored later) in "The End" track. Here's how it sounds without the censorship:

Ultra rare Monophonic copy of The Doors' debut album pressed at the Monarch pressing plant in Los Angeles. Very early 1st pressing with Ray Hagerty's signature in the dead wax on both sides. 1st print gold Elektra EKL-4007 labels with the original Monarch "Mono" banner in a bold font and very early 1st pressing "Witmark (ASCAP)" publishing credits for Alabama Song (Whisky Bar) on Side 1. Original labels with a misprint on Side 1, indicating "Break On Through (To the Oher Side)" instead of "Break On Through (To the Other Side)". Original 1st print Mono cover with a catalog number EKL-4007 remains in the original shrink wrap. This copy includes an original very rare fold-out 5 panel double-sided color Elektra Records '67 catalog, with a photo of The Doors and the debut album release with the indicated Mono and Stereo catalog number: EKL-4007; EKS-74004, which were equipped with only the very early 1st pressing copies of the 1st batch.

The trail-off vinyl contains all of the identifiers of a Monarch pressing, including a "MR" stamped inside a circle on both sides. The full matrix numbers are: Side 1 - EKL-4007A (MON) MR in Circle Delta 10046 Ray Hagerty's Signature; Side 2 - EKL - 4007B (MON) MR in Circle Delta 10046-X Ray Hagerty's Signature. The cover is in Excellent condition having some very light shelf wear, a light hint of ring wear on the back cover with the bottom left corner having a light deformation from the humidity. The vinyl, which contains some light non-feelable surface hairlines and scuffs from the inner sleeve, is somewhere between Strong Very Good and Very Good Plus condition. Nevertheless it has preserved its beautiful factory gloss and lustre and plays great with only some occasional background noise. The Elektra 67' catalog is in Mint condition. The Elektra Records inner sleeve is in Excellent condition.
