The Doors, Hendrix, Beatles, Cream, The Herd, The Equals.
These records have not been looked after. I’ve been using them as fillers until I tracked down and bought better copies. Please be aware of all of this if bidding.
The Doors: Waiting For the Sun UK Elektra label. Original rough orange label from 1968. Record plays without jumping but has a fair amount of crackle. The cover has been written on and a flower painted on back! (See pics) A rare record on original Elektra.
The Beatles: 1962-1966 Red Album. On Apple Records. ONE RECORD MISSING! Only side one and two. Very good condition
Jimi Hendrix Experience: Are You Experienced and Axis: Bold As Love double album. Axis looks pretty good condition. Are You Experienced has a small hole on vinyl track three. (!!) Cover of double set in good shape.
Cream: Wheels of Fire Polydor No cover. Visual on this only. Some surface scratches that might affect play. But doesn’t look too bad.
The Herd: Paradise Lost on Fontana. Original and rare. With Peter Frampton circa 1968. Track four has a mark that I don’t think can be removed without damage to record. (See pic) Obviously this track jumps. If buying can I advise you skip this track totally? The rest has crackle but plays. Cover has been torn at front. (See pic) As I said a very rare album.
The Equals Greatest Hits on the cut price Music for Pleasure label. Bit of crackle throughout and one track jumps. Having said that it’s the best of the bunch condition wise. The cover is in good condition.
So, there you have it. A strange collection of how not to treat rare records. All in all poor to good condition and pretty much fillers. The Doors and The Herd albums are particularly collectible, but the condition I understand will put many off. Waiting For The Sun record might look good in a frame on the wall partly because of the iconic orange Elektra label.
