Description

Becoming very scarce.

That applies to Doors Vinyl in general.

Even in the last year, prices have been

steadily climbing.  There is a real renaissance

in The Doors first UK pressings.

This is a 1ST UK PRESSING.

This is on the 1st label variation

(See 'The Doors' on the labels), making this a very early copy.

At this early time, Elektra records were not able

to facilitate demand for the custom

inner sleeves so these early copies

came in the GT BRITAIN/Patents sleeve.

Generally a STRONG EX ALL ROUND VISUAL

condition apart from the odd very minor age

related sign (as an exception).

Record visual is an STRONG EX,

FOR BOTH THE VINYL & LABELS.

There is a temptation to grade higher,

just look at those labels and the record shine,

but I will err on the side of caution.

On this lot, I will happily offer a no quibble return policy.

Buyer pays postage to return the records in their original condition.

No Partial Refunds.

Any questions, do ask before bidding.

UK only or contact me ahead of time to discuss.

Please see my other listings of original classic rock records.

I AM A REAL DOORS BUFF AND I HAVE MANY RARE COLLECTIBLES TO FOLLOW.

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK

Again, any issues, please contact me ahead of leaving feedback.

Grading can be subjective and I do not

have time to play every single second of every record.

I have endevoured to capture as much detail in

my pictures to assist my description.

PLEASE STUDY THESE PICTURES WITH CARE.

Happy Bidding on an EXTREMLY SCARCE RECORD

IN TRUE COLLECTIBLE CONDITION.

On 11-Jun-15 at 23:05:58 BST, seller added the following information:

Please note that there is a very small name inked neatly on the side 2label, Karen please step forward.

It is very well disguised but it is there. I did not notice it at first glance.  Also I have Since had the opportunity to play test the album in its entirety. There is a very very small indentatin on people are strange that causes the record to miss a beat. I never mentioned this as I had not play tested this recordThe record temporally Sticks at the very end of I can't see your face in my mind.  But it does go on to Play when the musics over.   Beyond that, the playback is brilliant.  This is a very unforgiving album due to The extended quiet passages.  However, the album plays brilliantly clear With only the very minimum of background noise if any at all. I mean if any at all. The record sits and plays flat on the turntable with absolutely no warping. So yes I do maintain that this is a very collectible copy of a rare album. I Just want to be clear so please do not bid if it is an archive copy you are after. Regrade Cover is ex- laminate crease, usually worn spine is excellent or better. Crucially this is the correct stereo sleeve as these were prone to be mixed up So that mono records were in stereo sleeves and vise versa. Side 1 visual is ex, Audio is ex+ Label is ex+ Side 2 visual is ex-, Audio is ex-, label is ex- Again, this is the very first issue of this landmark album.  Not an archive Copy but far from being just an average copy. The labels still Retain their magnificent color, and the playing surfaces still have A high gloss finish.  A general excellent still confidently applies. I have regraded with my conservative hat on.   Again I offer a full refund if unhappy.  Happy bidding.
