Description

The Doors Strange Days EKL-74014 Original Elektra 1967 Stereo Gold label US LP With Inner!.A chance to bid for a rare original Stereo copy of the Doors 2nd lp released in 1967 with a rare battered but legible inner picture lyric sheet that i restored myself. See pictures for more detail. To say it took a lot of patience to remove the 1970s sellotape without completely ruining it would be an understatement. Glue marks from that remain and there is a small section missing,but considering it's original condition i think i did a pretty good job. i repaired it with top quality document repair tape which will last forever. The vinyl looks really good with only light wispy signs of use.It still retains it's gloss and it plays very well as i playtest all my lps i put up for sale. Certainly for a 55 year old used lp the audio is more than acceptable compared to most first press copies i have encountered. As always i do not clean my vinyl prior to testing. I leave that to the next owner of this classic Doors lp whatever their cleaning regime is.This may or may not make the odd isolated light tick or any light  background static between the tracks etc disappear.Certainly I do not think the winning bidder will be disappointed. The sleeve is in fantastic condition for one of these original 1960s lps which is very rare as a lot of American made covers from this era were poorly manufactured. There is only a hint of ringwear and very slight corner creasing with all artwork and text including the spine clear to see.In summary a really nice copy of this increasingly rare lp as most originals are pretty trashed.As always any questions are more than welcome..thanks and good luck
